The Bf109 is one of the Luftwaffe's most famous World War II fighter aircraft. More than 33,000 Bf109's were built in many different versions. Both its climbing capability and acceleration in the dive were two of the Bf109s strong points. In production since the summer of 1942, the Bf109G series displayed some noticeable changes compared with the previous Bf109F version. The G-5/G-6 had a MK 151/20 mm cannon firing through the engine. Two MG 131 machine guns were installed above the engine. The belt-feed to the uprated armament necessitated aerodynamic modifications to the engine cowling's which gave the aircraft its characteristic bumps .
The G-6 was used extensively on all fronts from March 1943 until the end of the war. Later production lots of the Bf109 G-6 were given fixed rear cab windows in a one-piece design which vastly improved visibility to the rear. During a further modification the tail was fitted with a rudder that was higher and had a larger area than previous models. With a total of 13000 units, the G-6 was the most widely produced of all Bf109's.

After the Bf 109 the Fw 190 was the second standard fighter in the German Luftwaffe. The aircraft proved to be both versatile and very robust. The Fw190 F-8 heavy fighter-bomber was produced in large numbers from the beginning of 1944 onwards. The F series was developed in 1943 specifically for the ground attack role. A 700 kg (1500 lb) bomb load could be carried on five external attachment points. The fuselage armour plating and the wing spars in the area of the main landing gear were strengthened, otherwise the F-8 corresponded to A-8 fighter version. After mass production had started a new wooden bladed propeller and a bubble-shaped canopy with reinforced head armour-protection were also installed on the F-8. From the beginning of 1944 until the end of the war more than 6,500 Fw190 A-8 and F-8 versions had been delivered.

MESSERSCHMITT Me163B “KOMET” ROCKET-POWERED INTERCEPTOR
Me163B “Komet” was the world’s only operational rocket-powered interceptor. Me163B had tremendous speed and climb rate thanks to its unique power source, so it’s hard to be intercepted by allied fighters during powered flight. But its high speed also resulted in difficulty to shoot accurately during a very short shooting time period, and hence Me163Bs gained very limited victories.

This 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Me163B Komet Rocket-Powered Interceptor plastic model kit faithfully represents its small tail-less shape. Subassemblies like engine, T-Stoff tank and ammunition box are included. Many hatches can be built either in open or closed position. Model fuselage breakdown refers to the structure of real aircraft. No cement is needed to join the front and rear parts of fuselage, and a support frame is provided to show interior details.
